The National Finance Institute helps mortgage brokers charge ahead. We provide results-driven courses, delivered by industry-experienced trainers and as a result have developed a reputation for practical (rather than theoretical) outcomes.
New industry entrants get off to a flying start. Experienced brokers sharpen their skills. NFI lets you charge ahead by equipping you with the latest skills while minimising your downtime.
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 31203), The National Finance Institute offers nationally recognised qualifications. Most courses are also MFAA & FBAA accredited and ASIC compliant.
NFI was founded in 2004 by Peter Heinrich. He was committed to establishing mortgage broking as a profession in Australia.
Today, more than 3,500 trainees (and counting) have completed NFI courses.
Peter Heinrich – Founder & CEO
For over 20 years Peter has been involved in the banking and mortgage broking industries. He was part of the ‘Building the Future’ program, which shaped the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) into a relevant industry association.
Peter also pioneered mobile lending, as one of Australia’s first mobile lenders back in 1984, and finished his banking career as State Manager (WA) with St George.
Peter is a Fellow of FINSIA, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mortgage Brokers and a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Services. Peter is a sought-after public speaker, with an array of proven examples, real-life case studies and industry-specific strategies.
On the weekend, Peter enjoys chasing after his 2 very active sons, watching rugby on television and taking his boat out on the water.
